LISA GREEN
Adelaide born violinist.
Lisa
Green
began
studying
violin
at
the
age
of
six,
and
at
ten
entered
the
Elder
Conservatorium
under
the
tutorship
of
Beryl
Kimber,
gaining
her
Bachelor
of
Music
(Performance) degree with distinction in 1983.
Lisa
has
won
numerous
national
competitions
and
has
performed
as
soloist
with
the
Adelaide
and
Melbourne
symphony
orchestras,
the
Australian
and
Queensland
Youth
Orchestras,
the
Adelaide
Chamber
Orchestra,
as
well
as
giving
many
solo
recitals
and guest artist appearances.
Lisa
furthered
her
studies
for
two
years
in
Cologne
at
the
Musikhochschule
with
Professor
Igor
Ozim
and
later
at
the
“Bern
Konservatorium
für
Musik”
where
she
completed
her
Solistendiplom
in
violin
with distinction.
From 1987-91 she studied with Salvatore Accardo in Cremona.
Lisa
has
performed
as
soloist
with
the
“Bern
Symphony
Orchestra”,
the
“Virtuosi
of
Santa
Cecilia”,
the
“Lombardia
Chamber
Orchestra”,
the
“Goffredo
Petrassi
Chamber
Orchestra”,
the
“European
Women’s
Symphony
Orchestra”,
the
female ensemble “Le Muse” and the “Nova Amadeus”.
In
1990
in
Venice,
Lisa
premiered
three
concertos
by
the
eighteenth
century
composer
Maddalena
Lombardini
Syrmen
with
the Chamber Orchestra “L’Offerta Musicale”.
In
1993
Lisa
won
prizes
both
in
the
Seventh
International
Violin
in
Brescia
and
in
the
“Michelangelo
Abbado”
International
Competition”.
She
works
regularly
as
concert-master
and
soloist
with
various
symphony
and
chamber
orchestras
and
has
had
engagements
in Italy, Poland, England, Kenya, Greece and Switzerland.
In 2016 Lisa performed as soloist at Government House for Women’s International Day.
Her repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary.
